anyone have any dial up modems work vista

Anyone have any dial-up modems that work on Vista?

I installed Vista Beta 2 onto my computer and everything went fine with the install until I tried to get online and then I found out that even though the computer recognized my modem (U.S. Robotics V.92 Faxmodem) after I reinstalled the driver, it gives an error message saying that the U.S. Robotics driver interface must be shut down due to an error. I also have U.S. Robotics ControlCenter installed on the computer and it doesn't recognize any installed hardware. So, I'm either looking for a patch or a new driver or a new modem! Any ideas or suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I also have PeoplePC as my ISP and I don't believe that it's software is recognized by Vista either. Just so anyone else who has it knows ahead of time! Thanks for any help!!

I had similar problems. I have an Intel 536EP fax/modem and Intel has beta 64 bit drivers on its' web site. They work!
As far as PeoplePc, they were completely unhelpful when I called them telling me that they onlyy support existing os's. So I changed internet providers to a local that provides a phone number to connect and does not have extraneous software to mess it up. (I.E. smart dialers). It worked fine! I activated and updated Vista. -- I''m Down the Tubes with the whales!

Thanks for the information! I'll have to get one of those modems! As for PeoplePC, I'm not happy with them either. They told me the same thing. Luckily, if I can get my modem to work, I can sign in without their software. Thanks again rabuf, I appreciate the help!!
